On Wednesday 16th August at 8pm Dr Hussain Gandhi known as Dr Gandalf, a GP at Wellspring Surgery Nottingham and the owner of eGPlearning.co.uk will be presenting  the second  part of his masterclass on “How to grow out of being a Luddite- Using  social media safely as a GP”.

Social media is a growing communication method. This session will aim to introduce key social media platforms, how to use them for life, education and work and do so in a professional and safe way.

Expected Learning Outcomes

  1. A working knowledge of key social media platforms to include Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp and others.
  2. How to use these platforms for education and CPD
  3. Understand the implications of using these platforms as a GP
  4. The do and do not rules of social media including guidance.
  5. Dr Gandalf’s hints and tips to make it all manageable

About the Speaker: Dr (Gandalf) Hussain Gandhi MRCGP, MBChB, BSc Hons, PG Cert
Dr Gandalf is  a believer that technology can make our lives easier and manageable. With a deep passion for primary care and technology Dr Gandalf has been at the forefront of developing the social media experience for his peers.  He currently manages several social media engagement systems for GPs including GPSurvival. Dr Gandalf has presented this topic both locally at trainer and trainee updates and nationally at the RCGP annual conference.
