On Wednesday 17th July at 8pm, Tista Chakravarty, Principal Regional Liaison Adviser General Medical Council, will present a CPD webinar on ‘Mental Capacity – Challenges for GPs and Case Studies’.

The aim of this webinar is to help increase your knowledge of the GMC guidance, especially on and how to apply this to your practice. The webinar will explore common scenarios around mental capacity sharing as well as several case based discussions.

Expected Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, you will have reflected on:

1) Fundamentals of Confidentiality
2) Applying the public interest test
3) Managing complex disclosures

This webinar is equivalent to 1 CPD credit

About the Speaker: Tista Chakravarty-Gannon

Tista is a Principal Regional Liaison Adviser (RLA) at the GMC. She manages and provides leadership to the team of RLAs, as well as leading on projects within the GMC. Besides leadership responsibilities, Tista’s role involves engaging with doctors and delivering workshops on ethical standards.

Prior to joining the GMC, Tista spent many years in stakeholder management, and worked with survivors of abuse, particularly in children’s and mental health support services. More recently she has worked on collaborative projects with the Gold Standards Framework, Marie Curie and RCGP.

Tista is passionate about the NHS and has particular interests in safeguarding, medical leadership and quality improvement.
